Right-to-work legislation is really the right to work for less. And everybody in America deserves the right to join a union, because if you don’t have a seat at the table, you’re on the menu.

Unions and working people who refused to be exploited built the middle class in this country. Not billionaires, CEOs, or hedge fund managers.

I watched him and my uncles stand shoulder to shoulder on picket lines with the United Mine Workers of America. I learned early that hard work was expected, dignity mattered, and if you wanted respect, you had to fight for it.
