George Orwell got it wrong. It's not the Party telling us to reject the evidence of our eyes and ears - it's the people that support the Party. The Party itself doesn't have to do anything, as they have an army of willing pawns that have been trained to lie on the Party's behalf.

Politics are more than just differences of opinion. Politics come from your personal philosophy and how you personally interpret the world. Politics is putting that philosophy into action. It's a verb. It's not something that simply is, politics is something you do.
