Look, if a handful of French thieves can drive a truck and lift right up to the Louvre in broad daylight...

Why couldn't some tough Americans drive a truck and wrecking ball up to Mar a Lago and start taking the place apart?

If ICE had captured any members of Tren de Aragua, MS-13, or other gang members and violent criminals, surely they'd be parading them around to the media saying, "See? SEE? They're here and we're catching them!"

Instead, all we see are immigrants without crime records, families, and children.

"But [Texas] lawmakers have so far allocated only a fraction of the money needed for flood projects through the state’s Flood Infrastructure Fund, about $669 million so far, even as state lawmakers this year approved $51 billion in property tax cuts."

Kristi Noem tells terrified Haitian refugees, "Y'all can go home now! The coast is clear!"

In fact, conditions in Haiti have been getting worse.

Has Tom Nichols' post on the State Department's invitation to a "Christian prayer service" been deleted? WHY??

"In an environment where any guy on the street could turn out to be part of an ICE or Homeland Security sting operation, such impersonations become trivially easy."

Opinion | Is that guy with a gun an ICE officer — or just a guy with a gun?
Masked federal agents aren’t exactly Trump’s secret police. But they are hiding from accountability.

Two of Trudeau's top ministers are scheduled to meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago to discuss border and tariff issues.

At several points during the proceedings, Mélanie Joly and Dominic LeBlanc should turn to each other, say something in French, and then snicker. It'll drive Trump absolutely nuts.

Part of me is utterly outraged that Trump (not yet president) and Musk (not yet human) are horning in on the House's budget negotiations.

The other part of me is delighted to watch Mikey and the Morons being harried by these two harpies from Hades.

So Musk and SpaceX are facing multiple reviews for violating rules on security reporting.

How dare ANY government department or agency challenge the guy who's gunning for them ALL?

Our local rag, under the loving management of Gannett, has devolved from a mediocre newspaper into a sports-and-advertising gazette. Last week they have the nerve to announce that they're DOUBLING the price of their subscriptions. (This would now cost me more than my digital subscription to NYT.)

What qualifies Sean Duffy to serve as Secretary of Transportation? The fact that he has been log-rolling and speed-climbing since he was five years old?

When did "backseat" replace "back seat"?

When did "backyard" replace "back yard"?

Here's an interesting headline from WaPo:

"What do four more years of Trump look like?"

Gee I dunno, maybe being slowly munched to death by a leisurely alligator with halitosis?

Any other good similes / metaphors that come to mind?

Trump has chosen 27-year-old Karoline Leavitt for White House press secretary. Youngest person ever to take the job. She's a hard-core Trumpist and is still contesting the 2020 election.

If journalists ask her any hard questions during press briefings,
will Trump sue them for bias and harassment?
