I’m an award-winning mathematician. Trump just cut my funding.
The “Mozart of Math” tried to stay out of politics. Then it came for his research.

I've been working on a new tool, Refine, to make scholars more productive. If you're interested in being among the very first to try the beta, please read on.

Refine leverages the best current AI models to draw your attention to potential errors and clarity issues in research paper drafts.

New working paper alert: we provide a model of post-hoc rationalizations, driven by motives of (self-)esteem. We show how this can lead to groupthink, polarization, and a preference for echo chambers.

The political incentives to pursue the populist attacks on liberal symbols (immigrants, minorities, academia, science ...) grow stronger as it becomes clear that economic promises (DOGE checks) won’t be kept.

it takes a stable genius to upset at once big donors, retired voters, and GOP members seeking reelection.

Fascism thrives on a pretense of perfection, strength, and constantly attacks groups perceived as week: liberals, LGBTQ+, immigrants, intellectuals… that's what we are seeing now.
