Checkatrade is a laugh. Of those trades that could be bothered to respond, got quotes of £450, £180 and £190 (all exclusive of VAT) for a small plumbing job. My regular plumber (who I thought was away) just came and sorted it for £70 plus VAT.

It’s fantastic that Tim Davie has gone.

It’s worrying that he went because he wasn’t right wing enough.

Herts County Councillor Paul Zukowskyj on local radio reinforcing the importance of people giving way at school crossings. That’ll be the same Paul Zukowskyj who aggressively tailgated me into the office a few years back despite the fact that I was already going over the speed limit.

It’s great to see the privately educated former alumni of Oxbridge, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, come bottom three days in a row on Richard Osman’s #HouseofGames

I’m in a Spoons. There’s been a major falling out on the next table. It’s awkward. No words spoken in ages. Reminds me of when I bought my niece a Swiss Army knife and she accused me of being a self obsessed cunt.

I saw #psychedlicfurs on Friday at the Palladium of all places. Forgot to post it on here to prove that I sometimes leave the house so here’s a pic I took of the Butler bros.

Charlotte Edwards was never going to be at the vanguard of a new era for the England cricket team when she’s just picked those players that are over the hill or who were never good enough but have been mainstays in the team for far too long.

Boris Johnson looks even more like a fat tramp than the last time I saw him. I bet he smells of cheese and stale arse.

Is there any chance of the police arresting either Michelle Mone or Prince Andrew any time soon?

Iain Duncan Smith says when Maccabi played a game in Istanbul there was no trouble at all

@ianbyrnemp.bsky.social had to point out UEFA moved the game to Hungary after the Turkish authorities refused to stage it &the Hungarian authorities then played it behind closed doors. Hence no trouble

Starmer's support for Maccabi and criticising WM Police must be the worst own goal since Jamie Carragher retired.
Plain fucking stupid, because now he's on the hook for any trouble that might happen.

“Absolutely disgraceful that this violent anti-semitism against Maccabi fans should take place on the streets of, err, Tel Aviv. We stand with all Maccabi fans and I am very clear about that.” Keir Starmer.

When Maccabi fans are banned for their own safety it’s because of anti-semitism. When they are banned because they are violent racist wankers it’s because of anti-semitism. This is the world according to Keir Starmer where everything and everyone is anti-semitic.
Can we please get some perspective. If Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters were banned because of a risk to them it would absolutely be anti-semitism. When they are banned because they have a track record of causing violence it is just common sense. Preventing football hooliganism is normally a good idea.

Prince Andrew isn’t an outlier. He’s just one out of that bunch of wrong ‘uns unlucky enough to get caught out. You’re not telling me that old sausage fingers hasn’t been up to all sorts, including the murder of his first wife. Wrong ‘uns, the fucking lot of em.

Imagine Millwall fans being banned from a match in Israel and the government complaining that nice Englishmen had been barred from placidly enjoying a football match.
British politicians clearly don't know much about Maccabi fans. This was a banner they displayed against a Polish team. Banning them absolutely the right decision.

Got to feel sorry for Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters. They spend decades trying to become violent ultra-nationalist racists and yet everyone in the media and government is portraying them as the sort of fans that would help old people across the road. Unless the old people were Arabs, obviously.
