NY times headline,”Trump Criticizes Bad Bunny’s Performance.”

In other news, the sky is blue, water is wet, the Pope is Catholic.

I’m as surprised as anyone that I’m reporting the men’s room is out of menstrual supplies.

Back to normal Seattle winter! Thank goodness.

Through my local library I got a one-day code to read the NY Times today.

David French argues that the “Donroe Doctrine” is a return to 19th century thinking where the powerful take from the weak. There is a “sugar high” after the exercise of power, then a crash after realizing the injustice.

Blue has started being very snuggly after waking in the morning and when I get home in the evening. Pretty happy he is mellowing a bit. Male Shelties are freaking nutso when they are puppers

I didn’t prefer Plur1bus. It has a great premise, but ultimately it’s just a mcguffen for weird human interactions. I had the same problem with the Walking Dead. They only care about the human interactions in the SciFi situation, not nearly enough answers around “why.”

Today I cleaned out my PC. Built in 2020 and this is the first time I’ve had the CPU heatsink & fans off. Don’t wait that long to clean it out. This is pretty grody.

Also my dog was particularly adorable today just chilling with me. Nice, chill day.

Just finished the Peachyville Horror and am kind of sitting with how it all ended up. Not the usual route, but the interesting path is the one less taken, right?

Well done team @dungeonsanddads.bsky.social. Congratulations on your success! Can’t wait to hear what’s next

I need to be like @jeffcannata.bsky.social and not watch trailers. So many spoilers in the one for Project Hail Mary!

It looks great, but I can’t help but feel like it would land better when experienced for the first time in the context of the film.

I figured you might need some pictures of Blue in your life.

If Trump runs for a third term, can Obama run against him?

Listening in anticipation of The next Scalzi book hitting on Tuesday. Great narration.

I was on the road at 6am. Was home by 4:15pm. I think I have fallen in love with road trip vacations again. Blue was sooo happy to get home!

I got 5 ancient Carol Burnett Show DVDs when thrifting. Seems like the skits have some value, but Jesus, Dinah Shore was awful. “50 Ways To Leave Your Lover” 😴 15 minutes in, the skit work reminds me of Monty Python.

There’s a particular song in the new Donkey Kong game that plays when DK goes into “Bananza” mode. That song has been going through my head since last night.

That’s a sign of a game that really has its claws in you. 😃 Good job @nintendousa.bsky.social!

Had a pretty good holiday weekend so far. Blue is settling down some.

T&T Market in Factoria has OK egg tarts.

Watched the sun set from the top of a skyscraper with friends last night.

If you’re excited about the upcoming Project Hail Mary film release, skip the trailer out now.

It’s one of those Hollywood things where to get you in to see the movie, it shows too much and you see the plot cut down to 3 minutes with soaring, high-energy music in the background.

Can anyone tell me why Substack is serving me election denialism content from untrusted sources that I don’t follow?

Odd that “John Oliver” isn’t *that* John Oliver. Feels like someone masquerading as a trusted media figure to those who aren’t looking carefully.

Stay vigilant.

Today we celebrate Americans not being able to own each other. Juneteenth is a victory for everyone who values freedom and human life.

Saw a beach wedding in Port Townsend this weekend. Pretty cool idea. Mazel tov to the happy couple and family. Hoping they somehow see this. (at Fort Worden State Park Beach)

Had a pretty good whisky day the other day. A friend who was in Scotland picked this up for me. Pretty interesting bottle! More sherry influence than the normal Oban distillate.
