Incredible motorsport.
Ever seen a race car hit 60mph in less than a second?

Well, that’s what one Formula Student team managed to do (AMZ Racing).

When you think "cutting-edge motorsport tech," F1 probably comes to mind.

But here's something wild...

What if F1 had no rules?

A former F1 engineer, Sébastien LAMOUR has spent 15 years answering that question.

The result? A car that could lap 15 seconds faster than current F1 machines.

Let that sink in for a moment...

Ever wondered how F1 brakes slow from 220mph to 0mph in just a few seconds?

In F1, drivers don't just tap the brakes — they slam them with the force of lifting a refrigerator with one leg.

Let me explain...

This is a JET engine in an F1 car.

And I went to see it at Silverstone Museum.

In the late ‘60s and early 70s, Lotus showed up to IndyCar and F1 with something utterly outrageous—a car powered by a gas turbine engine.

This F1 is the world’s fastest F1 car, and you probably haven’t heard of it.

It hit 400kph (250mph)....

Not on a smooth F1 track. Not on perfect tarmac. But on the rough, unpredictable surface of the Bonneville Salt Flats.

A few months ago, I got coached in a racing car… by AI.

And, it was scarily good.

It was telling me things like, "You braked 10m too early; try pushing that forward on the next lap" or “Your trail braking is too strong, release pressure on the brakes earlier”.

A few weeks ago, I drove a £2.5m racing simulator.

Not just any sim - one from the company that supplies some of the F1 teams.

And apart from how realistic it was, what surprised me the most was how much the F1 teams rely on, and trust, these sims.

Ever wondered if you could drive a Formula car upside down?

Not with fancy tricks. Not with centripetal force. Just pure aerodynamics.

A year ago, I announced Project Inversion -- our mission to drive a car on the ceiling of a tunnel for 5 full seconds.

And the design phase went well.
