My filter basket is haunted by the ghosts of coffees past.

Dear Technivorm:
There has to be a better material for these than plastic. The Mochamaster demands a steel filter basket... or tempered glass perhaps?

While you're at it replace the plastic carafe lid as well.

Thnx

Give a man a fish and he'll be rather perplexed.

Nice UX @baileypottery.bsky.social not confusing in the least. Please only change the bit AFTER the semi-colon. People scan specs, they don't fully read them every time.

My heating/ cooling dryer and water heater all utilize heat pumps. These should all work in concert with one another and adapt based on the weather.

Waste heat from appliances or hot outside? Send it to water heater and dryer.

House needs cooling? The water heater's vented air is free AC.

Attempting Pizza Skulls and just after I push them into the oven I notice that I screwed up and used sharp cheddar instead of mozz.

I'm cooked.

Made my first sale on Etsy!

I set up a bare bones shop with a few pottery turning tools with hand turned wood handles.

I already have a laundry list of what I need to update in terms of store page and listings.

How did I just now realize that The Book of Love is actually by Peter Gabriel and not the Magnetic Fields?!

Just cancelled Spectrum internet. Not only do they magically come up with rates they could have been giving all along, but they try to sneak in customer survey questions along the way.

No, I won't tell you what types of devices I was using.

No, you don't get to know HOW I was using the Internet.

Just cancelled Disney, Hulu, Espn... and just before Seattle Kraken season (the only time I ever watch ESPN).

CBS and now ABC have shown to be completely gutless.

Ok we've talked enough about Charlie Kirk, let's get back to the Epstein files and letter.
September 14, 2025 at 9:20 PM
To say that I did not like Charlie Kirk would be an understatement.

I don't think he, or anyone, deserves to be murdered.

Fuck guns.

it's been 14 years now.... perhaps we should let AI take a crack at finishing The King Killer Chronicles.

My son has taken to reading Calvin and Hobbes (finally!) and was explaining to me the set of strips where Hobbes was sending anonymous insults to Calvin in the mail kidnapper style.

Calvin had no clue who was sending the letters which makes me wonder: was Calvin and Hobbes the original Fight Club?

Two days ago I saw my first bear about 7 miles from my house. Yesterday I saw my first skinhead about 2 miles from my house. I fear what today will bring to my door.

I've upped my glaze game a bit (as well as experimenting with when not to glaze).

Can we just refuse to adjust our clocks next time?

Funky little vases and a planter.
I'm a big fan of functional pottery, it gives me great joy every time i eat out of one of my bowls or use a mug... but decorative vases can be so satisfying to make.

Some things with handles! The first is only 6oz and is maybe my favorite size and shape.

I should have taken the pre-fired dimensions as I'd love to recreate it.
March 9, 2025 at 3:20 PM
A few more pieces that I dig the results of.

I'm excited for the next few batches as I'm throwing a bit larger and more consistently.

I have a few vases, which I've yet to trim, whose shape I really love. Fingers crossed i do a decent job in glazing.

My first glaze attempts have come out of the kiln! I'm particularly into the white and red bowls.
