Solomon et sa famille perpétuent ces pratiques grâce au projet « We Are Fire », contribuant à restaurer le lac et les habitats qu’il offre aux rats musqués, aux cerfs, aux orignaux et aux oiseaux aquatiques.
C’est là qu’intervient le brûlage culturel : l’utilisation de feux contrôlés, au printemps et à l’automne, pour éliminer la végétation.

Solomon et sa famille perpétuent ces pratiques grâce au projet « We Are Fire », contribuant à restaurer le lac et les habitats qu’il offre aux rats musqués, aux cerfs, aux orignaux et aux oiseaux aquatiques.
Solomon and his family are keeping these traditions alive through the We Are Fire project, restoring the lake and the habitats it provides for muskrats, deer, moose, and waterfowl.
That’s where cultural burning comes in - using small fires in the spring and fall to burn off the vegetation.
