A quick and dirty 555 oscillator. The math didn't land quite where I wanted, but we've got signal!

I've finished cleaning up the jam box. Installed modern speakers, sprayed down the pots and switches with contact cleaner and fader lube. Because it's going to live in the garage, I packed the battery compartment with desiccant packets.

Cracked open this bad chicken. New speakers are on their way and currently researching new belts for the tape deck. But now I'm gonna give the chassis the soap and water treatment.

I've been silly productive tonight. Successfully, albeit poorly, fixed the mangled tail of my skateboard. The fake gold flake i used must have included some poor quality copper. Things turned a little green.

you rang?
Hear me out: a Science Fair, but for the Occult Sciences. High School Cafeteria, trifolded poster board, but instead of potato batteries and baking soda volcanos, the projects are "The Four Classical Elements" or "Consecrating a Circle." C'mon now!

I made a big step today and decided to get out of my own way. I created for the first time in a while. Just made the thing. Didn't care if it was good or if it even worked. Just make the thing. I can't make it better if it doesn't exist to begin with.

I made some progress on the Gansfield goggs last night. The battery and switch housing fit. Just gotta cut some bulk and figure out mounting

I might buy more 3D printer than I need. It will be really nice not to have to glue pieces together, though.

Also, AUDIO!!! I'm gonna make so many sounds
I'm on to the Audio chapter and it seems like a lot to take in. Maybe i'll work on the artwork a little and see if I can't get something together that's all me...

"By definition, a key is never pressed and released at the same time."

I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious.

It's alright to leave a hobby that you no longer enjoy. Someone would be glad to take that pre-assembled starter kit off your hands. That's not to say things shouldn't challenge you, but if you're not enjoying the process, is it for you?

understanding and implementing DMG button polling is not something i can study this morning. it's cartoon time with the kiddos before i tackle this

The best thing about having an alt account is being able to tap that little heart icon twice for things you really appreciate

neither the art nor the code i've been posting is mine. i am using a tutorial (the best i've used, and ive slogged through a few). i am hand keying this in assembly and learning so dang much. The early access PDF has been a joy to work through and i can't wait for this book to release!
Game Boy Coding Adventure
A comprehensive tutorial on programming in assembly using the iconic Game Boy, teaching the basics of computer science in a fun and engaging way.
