I have a great foreign policy idea: let's bully and threaten Canada, the friendliest possible neighbor and trade partner with whom we've had peace for 200 years! It'll work out!

Google Maps is actually going to change the name to Gulf of America. Tyrant’s baggage and lickspittles.

Republicans who rail against affirmative action for American minorities but then demand protection from Indian computer programmers. It's maybe the only issue where I side with Musk and Vivek.

People seem to feel like they've already done their election-related mourning and are enjoying internal Republican fights and making fun of Elon Musk. But we'll be snapped back to reality by the post-January 20 immigrant roundup. It's going to be ugly.

Adam Lovasz in Budapest has a new article on the difference between Latours approach to non-modernism and mine. scholarlypublishingcollective.org/psup/posthum...
Bruno Latour, Graham Harman, and Nonmodernism
Abstract. Bruno Latour critiques the nature/culture binary, defining it as the fundamental dualism of modernity. To go beyond modernity, Latour proposes “nonmodernism,” the idea that the modern separa...

Another podcast is up, this one audio-only and far shorter. It was conducted by Paolo and Sohum, two highly advanced high school philosophy enthusiasts in Jacksonville, Florida. It was a pleasure to speak with them earlier today.

In the newly released photos, the shooter looks uncannily like Dzokhar Tsarnaev (who is, of course, in the Florence Supermax prison awaiting the death penalty).
