This past week I spent a lot of time plugging numbers into the spreadsheet to check the accuracy of the cell formulas and testing the logic of the values and weights placed on the now four elements of Power Rating v4.0.
I should be making the spreadsheets available within a few weeks. I'm including a partial screenshot of the 12-team spreadsheet.
What's new with Version 4.0:
- A newly added element that measures a team's 4-week winning trend versus the rest of the league

- A newly added element that measures a team's 4-week winning trend versus the rest of the league
- The four elements - points per game average, year-to-date winning ptc. vs the league, 4-week scoring trend, and 4-week winning trend versus the rest of the league - have been weighted.

The basic points per game average. and the very telling winning ptc. versus the league are each 30% of the Power Rating. The two trend element values are both weighted to 20% of the total

- I've added cells with totals and averages of a few columns that might interest commissioners throughout the season
- The list of Teams /Owners on the far right side of the spreadsheet will populate as you enter the information in column B

- The columns are color-coded to help you locate the different types of data when you are analyzing your league's activity

- A new section has been added on the right side that will populate with the types of data you might want to share with your owners each week. If you don't want or need this, you can easily delete those columns.
