I wonder if it will be possible to have fedi posts where you can have at least two versions of the same image: one for light color scheme and one for dark color scheme

I'm mainly bringing this up for when screenshots with text are posted. reading white-on-dark screenshots hurts me

I'm still surprised to see websites by queer people that don't respect the user's preferred color scheme
I hope this is the year where everyone updates their websites to respect the user's preferred color scheme

the option to display role colors next to the name instead of using them as the foreground color for the name exists, but it is not enabled by default
a quick reminder: for many people, your default behavior is your only behavior. choose your default values wisely

when you set colors for a role in Discord, Discord shows you a preview of that color on light and dark backgrounds, so you can ensure good readability in both color schemes

@cartocalypse tried, but floating window paradigm is not something I like

in fact, Plasma was my first desktop, back in 2018. then switched to Budgie. then, GNOME. and now, I just use Niri

[rant about negativity on project hashtags]

what's the point of spreading negativity in a software project's hashtag? do some people have a fetish for ruining other people's day?
