The age limit for NY ABLE savings accounts will expand from 26 to 46 on January 1, 2026.

This means more New Yorkers who become disabled later in life can achieve greater financial independence by saving for qualified expenses while maintaining their SSI or Medicaid benefits. shorturl.at/b0HpI

State tax collections in Nov. totaled $4.9B – $897.5M lower than those in Nov. 2024. Year-to-date tax collections were $68.5B, $4.1B (6.4%) higher than one year ago.

There was a 1.9% decline in young adults in NY in 2023 compared to 2013. Seven regions had a decline in their young adult population, the largest decrease was in the North Country (8.5%).

A Rochester woman pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $13K in pension payments sent to her mother, whose death had not been reported to the pension system. Thanks to my partnership with NYS Police and Monroe County D.A. Green, she is being held accountable.

@nychealthsystem.bsky.social has a responsibility to provide language interpretation for NYC’s diverse communities and it needs to do better. My audit tested hospitals, help lines and mobile units and found they didn’t provide critical language services to patients.
