Real takes from real people having their first go at real 'za.
Florida Jay's lament:

"Was surprised when I called in a pick up order that the Lexington Avenue location would not prepare several slices of pizza for me that included broccoli and mushrooms, but no cheese. I was suspecting a quality pizza operation to have some flexibility in preparation."

"I thought that it was a bit overpriced, $375 for 1 slice, and a canned soda, but it was excellent, and the staff are great. The only problem that some may have is the front door being opened, which allows for flies and the like."

"Came back here after 4 years during a recent vacation. Great food. A tad pricey for gourmet slices but I also side ordered a gyro to go."

"My slice of fresh mozz tasted simple and satisfying, but the hard crust cut the roof of my mouth. Fortunately, this wasn't a problem for any of our other pizza slices!"

"While I must say my slice was cold, but still good, the others in my group had a fresh out the oven slice, and it looked like they were in heaven"

"I ordered two slices of pepperoni pizza late one night to eat while waiting for the subway. The slices were greasy and overall reasonable but the cheese slid off very quickly."

"My husband and I have been walking around New York City all day long and we wanted to try 'NY pizza'.

A manager and employee argued right in front of us... he scolded his employee who was making pizza to help the line."

"I know it's the New York fast food style to cook pizza and make sandwiches in the morning and put them under a heat lamp all day then put them in an over for a few minutes to serve and tourist like me eat it up. But this place is just horrible even for those low standard."

"Been to NY city a few times and decided this trip to try the .99 cent slice... Taste was ok...but for $0.99 cent what do you expect?

This would be a good after hours joint near the college strip or late night club. Seedy people hang out in this joint so keep your head on a swivel."

"I didn’t find the service all that friendly. I was the only customer in there, and I felt like I was really being a nuisance to the guy working there asking what the different toppings were. Every time I asked what topping was on a specific pizza he rolled his eyes and seemed annoyed."

"Pizza is NY styled which is the type you get in the street slice places which is way to do it especially if you can’t eat an entire pie. NY styled pizza is quite filling with lots of dough especially at the end."

"I was under the impression that nothing on earth could compare to Chicago tavern style pizza. Boy was I wrong. Yes NY cut their slices so huge that you have to fold them but who honestly cares when it’s this damn good."

"Good experience with the pizza, place was full so the pizza was hot and fresh!! They go by the traditional $1pizza. Apart from that they offer nice veggie and meat Pizza."

"The restaurant's website mentions that they use the finest ingredients, and it definitely shows in the quality of their pizza."

"We ordered a pizza pie slice and a grandma slice as well as some garlic knots. The garlic knots tasted pretty good but they only gave you a few. The pizza place slice had salami in the middle and it wasn't too bad but still lacking flavor."
