Sakurai outright said Kirby Air Riders will receive no DLC and will not become an ongoing series.
This is a game they've packed everything into and was made due to fan support, Nintendo greenlighting this and his development team at Namco.

I added the Starship from Kirby Super Star (& it's redesign from Kirby Super Star Ultra) in Kirby Air Ride! It would honestly be cool if this vehicle appeared as a Legendary Machine in Kirby Air Riders.
