Pearl is the better movie but Maxxxine is my favorite out of the trilogy. Mia Goth is great again but it’s the supporting cast and cameos that makes it so much fun, also Kevin Bacon kills it. Perfect 4K release from Second Sight.

I don’t usually see too many people talk about The Void but it’s a love letter to 80’s horror and practical effects, plus the directors were sfx guys. A mixture of different horror genres with nice amount of blood and gore.

I love the artwork for Second Sight’s 4K LE of Pearl. Mia Goth absolutely kills it, in probably the best movie in the X trilogy. Everything about this film is excellent and looks beautiful in 4K. Highly recommended

Picked up a mint used copy of Second Sight 4K LE release of The Guest. Adam Wingard is a good director who needs to make more films like this and You’re Next. Also the last time Maika Monroe actually smiles in a film😂.

It has to be hard enough to do a YouTube channel, but making your own movie must another level. Shelby Oaks has its issues but it’s solid horror film and worth a watch so support this film. Nice job Chris Stuckmann.

Found footage film The Decedent is the 50th horror movie released this year that I’ve seen, and this one was pretty good. Nice amount of blood and gore which you don’t always get in ff films and that made me happy.

Nice to see Christopher Smith’s Severance get a 4K release, not the best 4K but a good upgrade from my old DVD. A fun English survival horror film, a solid cast and Danny Dyer without his comically exaggerated cockney accent yet.

Dark Water is easily the worst Japanese horror film I’ve seen. Over long and dull, which is surprising considering who wrote and directed it. Arrow Video did a great job with the image quality, so there’s that.

For a film that went viral after its trailer was released, I was a bit disappointed with Good Boy. Once I got over how cute the dog Indy was and how good his acting was, the rest of the film was ok.

The great thing about Predator Badlands is that it didn’t feel like a pg-13. This was a fun, violent action sci-fi film plus Elle Fanning was great. Dan Trachtenberg is really building something special with his Predator films.

Just watched It Came From Outer Space in 3D that came with this 4K release. Other than a bit of corny dialogue, this was a fun body snatchers style film. The 3D looked pretty good too.

Hell House LLC Lineage on Shudder, is easily the worst in the franchise. Not being a found footage, is fine, but the film is boring and overly long. It feels kinda pointless, so disappointed.

It’s a crime that Trick ‘r Treat never got a theatrical release, this should’ve been seen on the big screen. This 4K release from Arrow Video is really excellent. A perfect Halloween movie.

Malum is a remake of The Last Shift, buy the same director and writer. I get why people don’t like Malum, but I love its expanded narrative and more gore.

Finally got my Nightmare On Elm Street 4k steelbook set. Impressed it came undamaged, Warner bros sent it in the worst packaging possible. Having said that, it’s a beautiful set.

Rust Creek was a blind watch on Shudder. Thinking it’s going to be the standard wrong turn, survival in the wilderness movie, but it stayed away from the normal tropes. Good story and acting.

I liked the original, The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, but it’s been awhile, so looked forward to this remake. Although Maika Monroe and Mary Elizabeth Winstead were great as usual, the movie was a let down.

The British film, The Hallow is an underrated gem and a beautifully shot folk horror. It could easily be a prequel or set in the Last Of Us TV series. A slow burn with some nice practical effects.

A new Indonesian zombie movie, The Elixir just dropped on Netflix. Lots of blood, gore and some nice sfx, also shot beautifully. If you liked Train to Busan or The Sadness, you’ll like this. I loved it.

Other is a new Shudder Exclusive. It feels like a mix of genres until you find out what’s happening at the end. Olga Kurylenko does a really good job in her role and carries the movie. Worth a watch.
