The Secretary of the Treasury has instructed employees to respond to the OPM email: “Your responses should be descriptive enough to show the significance of the work you performed; however, the descriptions should not reveal confidential […] aspects […].”

Some of you are receiving emails asking you to respond with what you did all last week, put it in bullet points, and you have to respond by 11:59 PM Mon. At this time our guidance from national NTEU is do not reply yet. We are working on it and we’ll get you more information so hold off for now.

Rep. Mark Alford said that these firings are “reasonable”.

He’ll be in this coffee house Monday morning if anyone wanted to show up and tell him how they feel about how reasonable this is. You’ll need to use leave.

We do not have a final number at this time, but too many IRS workers were walked out of our building today, far too many.

Our hearts break for those who, through no fault of their own, have been removed from their jobs.

If you have health insurance through the agency, write down your 3-digit enrollment code somewhere—you will need it if you get terminated and want to continue using your health plan (more about this soon). You can find it on EPP under Health Insurance or search the OPM FEHB site for your plan.
