Student Engagement Recognition Awards. Did you know you can use your digital badges to earn awards with NStEP? Swipe to learn more. Right arrow emoji. Student Engagement Recognition Awards. NStEP has a national system of awards to recognise and reward the contribution of students to the enhancement of student engagement and partnerships with staff across Irish higher education. These awards allow students to demonstrate and communicate the skills and experiences they have gained from taking up important roles and participating in NStEP’s training and development opportunities. Underneath the text are graphics of the awards. Student Engagement Recognition Awards. Upon completion of any NStEP training session: Introductory Class Rep Training, Advanced Class Rep Training, Representing Diversity Training, or any of our online self-study modules You’ll receive a digital badge or certificate which you can use to work towards our Student Engagement Recognition Awards! Awards come in the form of a verified digital badge, which you can share them on platforms like LinkedIn, to demonstrate your achievements and the skills you’ve developed!

Open Sessions Now Available! NStEP are delighted to announce that the Booking Portal for our 'open sessions' is open, and sessions are now available for the Spring Semester! Click through to learn what's available. Introductory Class Rep Training (ICRT). This training is ideal for new student reps, or those who would like a refresher. Core content includes student engagement in the context of the student rep role, the student learning experience tool, and methods for collecting and communicating feedback effectively. Time: 90 minutes. Delivery: Online or In-Person. Upon completion, you'll receive a digital badge! Advanced Class Rep Training (ACRT). Advanced Class Rep Training is designed for returning or experienced student reps who have previously completed Introductory Class Rep Training. This training explores tools used to navigate challenges in the learning community, as well as the LAPS stratefy for embedding effective leadership, communication, partnership, and succession planning into the student rep role. Time: 90 minutes. Delivery: Online. Upon completion, you'll receive a digital badge! Representing Diversity Training (RDT). This training introduces tools and resources that will help students effectively represent their diverse classmates and empower fellow students from all backgrounds and lived experiences to get involved in student engagement in decision-making, ensuring that higher education is an inclusive and welcoming place, where every voice is heard and every student can become involved in shaping their learning experience. Time: 90 minutes. Delivery: Online. Upon completion, you'll receive a digital badge!

This webinar explores how HEIs can go beyond traditional feedback models to develop student voice mechanisms that are inclusive, responsive, and embedded in genuine partnership. register today 🔥Few tickets remaining Beyond Feedback: Building Effective Student Voice Mechanisms Webinar. Meet the Speakers. Chorus: Amplifying Student Voice through Creative STEAM Engagement explores how inclusive, interdisciplinary ecosystems can be built around creativity, collaboration, and research-informed practice. Drawing on two national initiatives, Harmonic and Chorus, the session demonstrates how narrative, co-design, and Universal Design for Learning can translate into scalable practice. Through partnerships between third- and second-level students, creative resources and skills videos are co-designed to scaffold flexible, interdisciplinary STEAM workshops. Their shared outputs later culminate in a mixed-media STEAM anthology for primary classrooms. The presentation highlights how creative STEAM engagement amplifies voice, fosters collaboration, and bridges research, practice, and policy.
