Blue skies remind us that our Creator is ever present & ever loving. NRPE believes we are called to be stewards & caretakers of all beings living beneath God's blue skies.

We're excited to be here! Stick around for thoughts & news on all things creation care, eco-theology & environmental justice.
We justify attacks on other countries & destruction of landscapes because of the market price of oil ... but what about the moral price?

Hear from NRPE Exec. Director Cassandra Carmichael in her latest op-ed exploring recent events in Venezuela & the Arctic Refuge.

These unprecedented winter storms remind us that #climatecantwait. It is the most vulnerable who will suffer the most from severe weather. Climate action is a matter of faith, justice, and life.

We pray for all those in #Georgia and across the country who are in the path of this storm.
A winter storm on Sunday will bring snow to an unusually long, 1,500-mile stretch from Florida to Maine.

Rare winter storm warnings are also in effect for central Georgia to the south of Atlanta.

Pollution regulations & investments in clean energy save lives & promote flourishing for all of God's creation. When we advocate for them, we are living out our faith.

Thousands of people across #Georgia last week were exposed to dangerously high levels of PM2.5, or soot, which have heavy metals created by emissions from vehicle traffic, industrial activity, and controlled burns.

This is a pro-life issue.

Trump may be trying to get out, but faiths are still in.

As stated in the "Faiths Still In" statement first released upon the withdrawal of the Paris Agreement, "action on climate change is not just a scientific or political necessity - it is a moral imperative."

❄️ Winter reminds us that darkness is not empty. It is a God given season for rest, reflection & transformation before the light returns.

🌌 How might protecting the night help us relearn trust in the God who works beyond what we can see?

Caring for the darkness is part of caring for creation.
