I'm now down to a RTX5090 and 3090 box that remains on windows. These are for gaming. 4 laptops and a chromebook are now running various linux distro's.

#Xubuntu on an old Chromebook I had, lying about. Hacked UEFI bios and patched kernel (stupid sound chip). Runs nice until shutdown/reboot, then it runs like ass, 100% cpu bound.
However, pull the rug from it, force a shutdown with the power button and it runs well again. Never seen this before.

Hmmm - Apt keeps updating my custom kernel. I've told it to hold but it still persists. Never seen this before. And its driving me up the wall.

Blasted away ChromeOS (I really dislike ChromeOS) and with a new firmware now running Xubuntu. Though I had to build a kernel to get the sound to work correctly.
