"America first" is one of Trump's favorite shouts, but all of his cutbacks have made the United States fall behind other countries in many areas. US Academia is no longer number 1. Trump never did like the intelligencia anyway, since he isn't part of it.

I live in Indianapolis, where the homicide rate is 20 for every 100,000 people and the immigrant rate is 14%. Minneapolis has a rate of 3 per 100,000 with an immigrant population of 10%. So, the homicide rate in Indianapolis is around 7 times worse. But Indiana is a red state so no ICE agents.

Several groups that monitor hate speech, disinformation, and racism online have been barred from entering the U.S. by the Trump administration because they are considered 'radical leftists' that censor right-wing groups like Trump, RFK Jr., etc.
