tested few discord alternatives myself and personally i find stoat to do the trick, also fluxer, as for matrix/element i can't say i find it good because i had to switch to vpn to access it and it seems to be regionlocked that where i live i can't access it easily

yea they have previously used persona but OP claims they're using it in this global rollout. seems like discord might be switching to k-id even for uk/au since my uk friend was able to use github.com/xyzeva/k-id-... to bypass it. also that article doesn't say anything about a lawsuit?

sigh almost got cancelled for the first claim, well maybe this one deserves a look around regarding the CEO who planned to make discord go public when he took control of it, pushed the ID verification under UK law and the data got leaked, now he wants it global..
