Trying to take care of medical things while home, this includes blood work, LabCorp here is usually pretty good, but today was an adventure probing for a usually easy to find vein only to have the tube vacuum fail causing her to stick me again.

Managed to get in on time, uber was fast, but the car battery died, good thing I don’t need it until tomorrow, hoping the charger works. Condo is just as we left it, home away from home.

Trying not to jinx our flight but surprised the plane is on schedule and we have boarded awaiting take off. Unfortunately TSAPre closed at 7 so we had to unpack the electronics with the masses at the regular screening area.

LiG - I neglected to mention that Spunky was adopted by a local 3-legged cat, we call her Quincy, now daily feedings and outdoor houses w/makeshift tea light heater. The indoor cats are not happy when they hear Quincy or when she wonders by the sunroom window trying to get us to put food out.

LiG - I neglected to mention that Spunky was adopted by a local 3-legged cat, we call her Quincy, now daily feedings and outdoor houses w/makeshift tea light heater. The indoor cats are not happy when they hear Quincy or when she wonders by the sunroom window trying to get us to put food out.
LiG - we have had deer trotting through our yard all summer, but this is the first time the whole family of 4 showed up.

LiG - we have a large yard that used to have external (remote from house) water spigots, we thought they had been disabled and were looking at close to $10k to reactivate them…Turns out they had rerouted the feed with a hidden shutoff that the plumber found. Small blessings for the Griffin house.

LiG - old refrigerator on its last legs, partial remodel needed, new fridge is installed but lots of finish work left, at least we won’t get food poisoning.

LiG - Weather report, was just getting used to the humidity when things started to cool down, this weekend it is mid-70’s but will be a high of 43 on Monday and below freezing Monday morning. Was hoping to be in shorts until Dec but now not so sure.

LiG - Spunky sez GA is a much more fancy place for parties and events. So today it was a full set of adult clothes. A suit, tie, shirts, and shoes to go with an additional sports coat.

LiG - panel mid work, took longer than expected but the subpanel is now gone and the rats nest is a bit cleaner there will be a junction box for the extensions.

LiG - Also this week we are starting the minor kitchen remodel, new fridge is waiting in the living room, old fridge is done trying to poison us with over temp dairy (we have been using a cooler with ice packs since the freezer still works) The new fridge will replace the office nook.

LiG - odd intermittent sour smells from the ducting in the living room but nowhere else. Sent messages to 4 duct cleaning services (3 from BBB) only one responded, they were very engaged and came out quickly. Highly recommend All Major Appliances & HVAC. Spunky is no longer smelling the funky.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps (Disney+) - decent comic story line with potential, but somehow this cast was not as engaging as expected.

Splinter Cell Deathwatch (animated, season 1, Netflix) - nicely gory, much action, intrigue a bit short-lived in background. Would watch another season if they have it.

The great October Butter Hunt was a success, visited many small boutique locations and finally found it at Alō Farms, indoor growers with a tiny stand.

Today Spunky and I are on the grand butter hunt. She has always wanted that french butter with embedded salt crystals and apparently there is Georgia dairy that has a version.

The last bit of business before heading home. Turns out Spunky was born in Savannah so we went looking for her birth home, thought we had found it but now not so sure, we will be back when we figure it out.

It was a long day today, Spunky and I drove to Savannah to meet up with the Gem Gal, but first a detour to the Savannah No Kings protest, no pics left my phone home for security. Very peaceful, maybe 2k and lots of signs and inflatables. Very few police too.

Have been a long time DDG user, saw a security note from proton about browsers so thought I would test out Vivaldi for a while, so far so good, wish it had a back button though since swiping seems inconsistent on iOS
