Insane take, Chief is an incredibly compelling character and the fact that the games that humanized him most happened to be some of the weaker in the franchise is only incidental. If Microsoft allowed their golden boy to be a little vulnerable you could get some really awesome stories out of it. 🧵
I feel like Halo is better as a setting than it is an ongoing story. Chief is not compelling enough as a person to drive a franchise. He's a brilliant action hero who should be put into action/war heavy stories.
