finished Alex Garland's Civil War.

What was up with the marketing for this movie? It's like a horror film following war journalists and the sickness of violence, not a political warning war film.

Few people write tense scenes that can make my skin crawl the way Garland can.

Catching up on some 2025 releases, checked out the A24 film Warfare.

I appreciated the completely earnest and immersive depiction of one operation gone bad.

No score and no glorification/heroism/characterization to be found.

A tense experience is all you'll get.

#NowWatching High and Low. I have never watched this Kurosawa film 🤷 Time to correct this omission 👍

Revisited John Carpenter's Vampires. Forget the undead bloodsuckers. The misogyny is the actual scary thing.

Am I wrong or is Trump is actually really shitty at all this but so enabled he’s made it this far?

A real mastermind would have had a plan already, not summoning everyone to a red alert today.

Even if this works to get him brought to justice, I am afraid of who fills the void.

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

Oh yeah. Saw the original in the theater, had the soundtrack on CD. Did not even know there were 3!

will it be Gremlins 1 tone or Gremlins 2 tone? a new tone? that's the question for me

John Woo's Bullet in the Head shook me up. So dark but heartfelt and moving. His "most personal film" and considered by many to be his best.

New podcast episode on this madcap action, crime, war, and drama film -- yes all of that -- out now.

is it cut like the original two movies in sequence, or is it cut more like some new version that treats it all like one film, free to go wherever? I remember this was going to be one film that got made into two based on length?

I was an office manager once and ran out of coffee for the break room one day. You should have seen the scenes until more was produced. I was lucky to survive

Prince of Darkness sounds like an Ozzy Osbourne biopic but is a #horror film dear to many John Carpenter fans.

Satan spreads like bacteria and mirrors like portals to hell.

Google it, and you'll find studies that illegal immigrants pay billions in Federal, State, and local taxes.

You know who brags that he doesn't pay that many taxes?

Trump. The NYTimes has reported he paid no Federal income taxes in 11 of 18 years they could pull.

Who is the freeloader?
