Visitors to Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre may have had the opportunity to walk through our newly improved meadow which has been created as part of the Biodiversity Boost Project. Last autumn it was sown with wildlflower seed while our Exmoor ponies grazed the grass and churned up the soil.

Woodland edge habitat is one of the most valuable and species-rich habitats, particularly if it is south facing. However, most woodlands have now lost or lack this feathered, more natural woodland edge habitat. The diagram below depicts an example of good woodland edge habitat. #WilderWednesday
