Last week has been a bit meh on the road to recovery - but had some good highlights including a walk in the sun with Nala and a weekend 60th birthday do with a very dear friend of nearly 40 years plus other great friends made in the same era of student life.

This tree beside the Hatchet was planted in 1973 and was the first in Bristol to be grown as part of a nationwide initiative called “Plant a Tree in ‘73” to replace trees which had died from Dutch elm disease. The plan led to 160,000 trees being planted across the UK.

Llyn Cefni and a spot of trout fishing this evening - it was the story of the one that got away literally on the first cast. Plenty of birdlife and a tranquil location made the evening pass by very pleasantly.
