Yes—I attended that too—I was one of the 7000! Our team is meeting Thursday to plan. I attended the Merkley/Dexter Town Hall today and they said to send stories.

Today at the end of our Quaker worship time a Friend stood and shared a gift that came to him from a grocery checker yesterday, who gave home a piece of candy and said, “Life is unscripted, & that’s where we meet hope”. I’m pondering that.

The Taliban forbid her 11 year old daughter to go to school or go out in public without wearing a Burqa. The woman can no longer teach school children. They’re in danger because of their related to m friend, who lives here now, who was a women’s rights advocate in Afghanistan.

We’re sponsoring them to come a live with Afghans we helped resettle already.
Our Afghan friends here cried all night!
The mother in Afghanistan fainted and had to be taken to the hospital when she heard the news!

I’m on a team who are working through Welcome Corps to sponsor an Afghan family to come here. They were almost through all their vetting and ready to leave when Trump’s Ex. Order to stop refugee resentment programs came down. 🤬😡😤
