sorry here's a clearer way to say it: sometimes i see people praising a series for being woke specifically because it has better female character writing and politics than naruto and it just makes me wish people had better standards
do you ever feel like people see a series with an interesting female character, or a cute male character, or that it's about fighting an oppressive empire (even if said oppressive empire isn't really intended to parallel anything irl) & assume this means the author shares their politics

The citizens will be the one suffering the most from this. It'll be horrible and bloody. To this day, PanamΓ‘ still hasn't had any reparations for the needless bloodshed of Dec 20. We have a remembrance day for it but we can never mention why or who caused it. It's a bizarre feeling.
