Husband, Dad, and lifelong fan of sci-fi, comics, and great storytelling. I’m into graphic novels, movies, TV, and anything that dives deep into imagination and character. Also a devoted Star Trek fan.
So…singing like this and looking like this in front of my five-year-old and his friends is apparently “frowned upon.”

I can’t tell from the trailer if it’ll be good, but the 1930s New York setting has me more interested now.

I read The Hedge Knight around 2000. The HBO show made me revisit it, and I realized there were two more stories. I picked them up as my current commuter read. So far, the show is pretty spot-on to the first novella.

I can’t stop watching this. It’s like a random guy put on a suit, stole a pair of skis, and winged it.

No in-universe reason that really holds up.

I pulled my old Nintendo out of storage to show my five-year-old Mario for the first time. We didn’t make it far.

I almost showed him this video I found… then decided I’d like him to keep liking Nintendo.

The film is a top-ten favorite of mine, so I started the book. It’s very close so far. I do think the movie improves things by trimming some of the dialogue, especially Chigurh’s. I really like the book so far though!

Since I bought the Funko Quark the other day, I’ve been getting product recommendations. This one made me laugh.

I loved almost everything about it, except the regenerative immortality of “that thing”. Still really well done.

It’s a quiet, melancholy book about survival. It leaves much unsaid but it drew me in. Great artwork.

I brought home ten disposable Starbucks cups for my wife to use, and she’s made her coffee at home THREE DAYS in a row so far.
