I ran 3 cameras for this hunt. The scariest part is watching my eyes get puffy as we got closer to 2am.

New video up now on YouTube! “Echoes of Iowa’s Past”. We investigate two locations in Waverly, Iowa; Cedar Hill and the Bremer County Historical Society. I still don’t believe in ghosts, but I will say that this one did get pretty interesting. I can see how believers might find it compelling.

Just got back from another trip to SE Arizona and SW New Mexico. Definitely the worst luck I’ve ever had with rattlesnakes down there (just 3, all molossus), but luckily blacktails are among my favorite snakes.

Mimic glass lizards are a legless lizard endemic to the southeastern coastal plain of the United States. As the longleaf pine ecosystem declines, so too goes this beautiful creature. The future of this delicate species is dependent on a massive shift in how we manage fire-adapted systems.

Getting some aerial footage of longleaf pine savanna today. It has its challenges (mainly being eaten alive by insects while trying to hold a camera still), but the documentary is coming along.
