I waited 4 hours for this British-built Landy to leave Gabu in Guinea-Bissau, for Kondika, the border to Guinea. Of course we broke down a few times in the 3 hours it took to cover just 66km TIA 2013.

Backpacking across Lake Tana on a weekly cargo boat from Gorgora to Bahir Dar in Ethiopia (the only other traveller to have made the trip that i know of is MRP of TheCandyTrail - his blog was of much inspiration to me). It was a 2-day trip. I spent New Year's Eve in some no-name village: 2025/2016
