It will count as a personal item and you won’t have to pay for a carry on or checked bag. You can find specially designed ones that act like “luggage” online.

What are your thoughts on AI & offshoring as a digital nomad? Do you think it’s going to make it extremely hard to get remote work/gigs in the future?
I feel like the digital workspace is slowly dying out, and in the future might only leave space for entrepreneurs/business owners as digital nomads.

Sorry it’s been a while! Been super burnt out to be honest.

2023 POV: my big bag had been stolen the day before, all i had were the clothes on my back and my “valuables” small bag. I got to my hostel in Como, Italy. The owner was also a paraglide teacher & he asked if i wanted to go paraglide in the AM. I said yes, woke up in the same clothes as before, & ⬇️

Stumbled across this photo. 3,30€ for a cappuccino and cornetti in Catania, Sicily. I know the wages in Italy are different than the wages in the US, but it seems like they keep “little life pleasures” in Italy affordable for the community. In the USA this would have easily costed $12+.

How many of you are freelancers versus remote workers?
Freelancing so far for me has been super chaotic and unstable, how are you all making this work? And how many clients do you have without going crazy? Haha

In the meantime i have some other outreach ideas I’ll be implementing.

Make sure the hostel you book has a kitchen.
When i was backpacking through Italy, I made the mistake of not checking for that information as I was booking places, and ended up having to eat out a lot.
Don’t get me wrong, eating out in Italy is AMAZING but it’s $$$$ 🥲

Wear a fanny pack underneath a large sweatshirt or loose jacket under your armpit area when entering the gate to take more stuff with you. Or better yet, be like me and use two fanny packs. 🤫😂
