The next NofNA page was too complicated to finish in a single session, so the next update will have to be next week.

Were there normal-colored poison dart frogs? I had a suspicion that the way that warning colors evolve in poisonous animals is that, the warning color starts as an adjacent mutation, and then, all of the normal ones are just eaten, both killing off the original color and everything that sought it.

I added way too much orzo to my pot of soup. Ruined. It's almost solid orzo. Now I have to eat it all, and it wasn't very good to begin with.

Oops, I just realized that I didn't read the day of my doctor's appointment correctly. NofNA will update both days that week after all.

My phone's speaker stopped working. Which means call alert sounds don't work and I can't know when I'm receiving a call. Apparently, there're two speakers in phones, though... one for your ear, and the main one that plays sound you can hear far away. I ordered a replacement main speaker.

NofNA will not update on September 2nd, as I have a doctor's appointment that day.

Finished revising Autography. All that remains to be done is to draw graphics for the final (first) book, then the .pdfs will be complete. After that, they'll need to be broken up into their web versions' pages.

The next step is editing the third book. After that, I have to compile book 1 in the self-publisher,then compile book 2 again (because the original is in Adobe's InDesign format, which I no longer have since that computer's power supply is now defunct).Book 3 is already compiled; just needs editing.

Finished editing Glyptography (book 2) for compliance with the first book. It required reading it again and making notes of what needed to be changed, then sitting down and reading it yet again as I went through it and changed certain sentences or passages.

In addition to finishing the first novel of the "-graphy" series, it seems like I'll need to edit the second one as well, maybe even the third one. This is what happens when you leave the first in a series for last.

The next NofNA novel and final part of "-graphy" is essentially finished. Now comes all of the editing and re-reading. The re-reading is annoying because it can't be done properly for as long as the writing is in memory, which means, waiting to forget what happens in the book!

Day 3 after my tooth extractions, I can chew without pain in my jaw now. My gums are still swollen and bloody at times, giving a sensation like teething, when baby teeth fall out and adult teeth come in, something that I have not felt in, like, 35 years.
May 23, 2025 at 6:04 AM
My surgery ended up OK, but the result wasn't as good as last time. One of my teeth broke while it was being removed, and the extraction necessitated a stitch. The other tooth came out whole, but the dentist wouldn't let me keep either one for some reason.

In addition, I've lately been preparing to refresh my hard drive. My current NofNA computer's hard drive is about 12 years old now, and I like to replace them before they fail. I always get nervous something will go wrong, though... It's tricky to install Windows 98 in 2025.

Tomorrow, I go in for oral surgery, to extract the wisdom teeth on the left side of my mouth. Because of this, NofNA won't update on Thursday.

I found a total goldmine of old breakbeat recently: www.youtube.com/@TunesTomb/v... Specifically, scroll down to CDs named "Y4K", but there's a bonanza of other rare old CDs under that account.
Tunes Tomb
The whole purpose of this channel is to help memorialize some of the best electronic music of the past 30 years. Much of what you'll find here is out of print and hard to find. I feel like this music ...

Papayas are so frustrating. If you smell a ripe one, it seems like there might be flavor, but it's barely there. Especially when cold out of the fridge (because you can't eat an entire one at once). Mangos beat them so badly. But. They shouldn't!! Has anyone ever had a fresh, tasty papaya?

I arranged a surgery appointment for May 19th (a Monday). Due to this, NofNA may not update on that day, depending on whether or not my insurance agrees to cover the procedure. The dentist I went to this time didn't say anything about any special procedures.

I accidentally deleted my "Blue Sky posts should be called flits" post trying to repost it to test something. I was trying to say that, you could have a variable attached to the number of times a post had been reposted...

I recently got a letter in the mail from my insurance company, detailing the denials of service that were levied at the dentist's office. The procedure codes in this letter do not align with the work that I needed to have done. I'm glad that I'm getting a second opinion.
