I saw this posted on Twitter and think I got to pin it. I've been focusing so much on getting draws perfect from line one and never making mistakes. But I kind of have to do that to get to the good underneath - even asking for help or using tools to help 'make it good' once it exists.

I'm worried that my perspective skills aren't that great without the CSP tools to be honest. I'm scared that, without them, I'd be kind of a hack.

Yeah, that's the exercise. I need to freehand the box on my phone screen, then overlay it using my phone's camera to see where I messed up.
I come close a few times before; maybe I just feel off today...

Ugh...I'm trying to do more exercises today to get better with forms but I just...keep ending up with wonky boxes that don't replicate the reference effectively.

I hope that, I can look back to today and think about how much I've changed. I'll still probably think I'm not the most cracked artist on the internet. I'm no Eigaka, Berseepon or Daiidalus...but maybe being me is okay?

A friend showed me these drawings I've done to say that, despite struggles, I have significantly improved as an artist.
...Looking at my old work feels...really cringy, but I can't deny that I've come a long way. Stumbles, failures and all.
I still want to get better, but...maybe for my own sake.
