Hi BlueSky!
(Pronounced "Bloo-ski", I presume)

I'm Robbie. I teach #gamedev at GMU in Fairfax, VA. I also make games (usually #nesdev) under the label @skyboygames.bsky.social.

I am happily married and happily #trans. Pronouns: she/they.

I'm fluent in both English and Japanese.
I can't imagine generating something with AI and then showing it to someone else outside of, say, immediate family. Just feels obscene to me.

Sudden realization:
People willing to share AI images they generated as their creations are probably the same folks who send unsolicited dick pics.

I can't tell if this is an ad or political commentary.

Reread Frankenstein for class last semester, and I have the same professor for a different class this semester. I'm going to walk in and read this post out loud.

Victor? Frankenstein?
No, those are the names of the doctor.

Frankenstein's Monster's real name was Chad.

Gotta love how my YouTube on Android now plays every other song in a mix because Alphabet and Friends can't bother to write software that works.

So, with the evident effectiveness of inflatable costumes as disarming optics (and as defense against pepper spray), are we going to start seeing the Spirit of Halloween popping up in other seasons as the Spirit of Protest?

It's one thing to say you support trans people.

It's a whole other level to say it with a trans history lesson:

Boy, I'm feeling the after effects of this evening's karate practice. Going to sleep well tonight.

I did sell the ladies at the dojo on slow kick drills because, in addition to improving kick control, they also help tone the booty.

Learning that a canon Star Trek model had details kit-bashed from a Macross Valkyrie (and a whole-ass chibi Xabungle) made my day.

Ever think about how much of the whinging about pronoun policies was basically entitled people getting mad that someone they considered below them dared to tell them what to do?

With the Heritage Foundation calling for transgender rights activism (even stating, correctly, that opposing trans rights represents a threat to trans people themselves) to be branded as terrorism, it's comforting to know that I would be lumped together with some of the best people in this country.

It's a sign of the times that I have to give new college grads the same job-hunting advice I did at the start of pandemic lockdowns. Only for a worse situation.

One of the more heartwarming videos I've seen lately is a Quaker talking about why they support trans people.

Just spiked my coffee with some creatine and coconut oil because the latest health trend is "Creatine... but for Ladies!"

As someone who has lived on both masculine and feminine sides of the marketing gender binary, I find it kind of hilarious.

Dude would have been a total AI Bro in the present.
