Pursuing a sport management PhD at Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln, still serving as World Flying Disc President, doing a bit of emerging markets finance, now living between Cologne and Ludlow, VT.
I am really excited to share that I have achieved an important personal academic milestone with the publishing of an article in a peer-reviewed journal. I submitted my Master's Thesis last night, a 217 page (including Appendices) mixed methods research report on a topic near and dear to my heart. Caps off the last two years of study at the German Sport University Cologne. I'm ready to now start work on my PhD dissertation!

Good article in the NYT on how American pro sports leagues are destroying their fan base for generations to come. My kids aren't. It is too hard to follow your home team across all the balkanized, pay-walled media platforms and too costly to go to a stadium or arena. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/16/o...
