Gonna make a separate post but I went ahead and decided to check what got copyright thinking it was just two of the getter clips I used- turns out me using the second op and entire footage related to the ep i was covering got the claim. Welp- at least it’s not a full on strike.

Compared to the Kikaider video I don’t expect this one to get a lot of attention and that’s fine, my first video was more organized + of the partially blocked thing it’ll be a little more inaccessible but still- pushing my stuff!

Hey gang, process of the big o video still slow but today a pretty free day for me minus a therapy appointment and basic self need stuff. I’m almost 5 out of 15 minutes into the video and aim to get up to 7-8 today, every other day after this idk but I’m getting the hang of editing again!

I think the only funny thing about my unnecessary complicated feelings about mecha is that without fail anytime not even related to just mecha if I hear anyone unironically call something a deconstruction I get fucking annoyed.

In all my big o posting did I ever mention like- in 2023 the month after I finished it the first time I was in a random arcade with a friend and it was playing on the tv. That is some shit that truly can’t be replicated again. (And I have yet to go back to that arcade cause it’s kinda far)

Another update: B-Roll successfully got! I also landed on some ost to use out of suggestion from friends and some of my own picks. Nicest part of this review compared to the last one was getting clips is WAY easier as it’s just Big O- tho one clip near the end gonna be something special (you’ll see)

update on big o video: finish trimming down some fluff in the audio, video gonna be about 15 minutes which is 1 minute less then the Kikaider one (I’m the yapper) but I currently need to grab more b-roll. The process will probably take longer but will see if I can get it out this month.

Getter Robo is one series where I think worrying about canon isn't really that important. Literally just watch whatever (again, save for Darkness) and have a good time with it. Getter is weird, it's always been weird. Watch the big robot do cool shit while the pilots go insane lol.
