We congratulate Jim LaBelle, Sr. (Inupiaq),this year's recipient of Alaska Governor's Award for Distinguished Service in the Humanities. For more than two decades, Jim has worked to uplift experiences of Alaska Native students at boarding schools run by the US BIA between 1878-1975.
