Still can’t get my head around the fact that I’m going away on Wednesday! It’s term time!
As I’m doing supply this term, we decided we would make the most of the flexibility and so we are off for 10 days - going for some sunshine (hopefully!).

Gatwick is busy (start of some half terms) but we still managed to get in a lounge (the family friendly one) which does pizza and fish finger sandwiches!
Strangely it is quieter than the other lounges…
And we’re going to work on a triathlon in Dubrovnik so not all holiday!

Had a tough day yesterday at hospital with my dad, but finally managed to pick up my tapestries that have been made into a cushion and a picture. Actually quite proud of them!

Just seen 3 of my ex students in town - they were all so pleased that they’d got good scores in maths with me (and their hard work of course!)

So my 87yr old father fell over today - luckily not as hurt as he could be, and this evening I’ve managed to get him up the stairs into the shower - he uses a walker for walking.
I am now knackered and sitting on the sofa with my leg in an ice brace!

So despite having the most disruptive ‘naughty’ yr 11 class in the year, and being told that I can’t teach, 30/31 got grade 4 and above in maths, and the other got a 3.
One student got a 4 in statistics (with me) and a 2 in Maths (with HOD!)
Says it all really! It was getting a bit toxic for me.

So 13 days post op. Still doing my exercises. Can do straight leg lifts and almost 90° bend. Hopefully physio will be happy tomorrow although 4-5 hr journey home today is not good for it.
