"Our healthcare system isn’t just complicated, it’s expensive. [...] The average family pays $27,000 annually for their health insurance (up 6% from last year)." Medicare for All won't just be getting everyone the care they need, but will help financially, too!

"Over the past two decades, the cost of employer-sponsored health insurance—how the vast majority of privately insured Americans obtain their health care—has skyrocketed." The current system is not feasible!

Today, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of our nation’s veterans. Their dedication reminds us of our shared responsibility to care for one another. We continue to work towards a future where everyone, including those who’ve served, has access to the care they deserve.

On November 1st, 22 million Americans will see their 2026 health care costs double because Republicans refuse to extend #ACA tax credits.

Learn how to demand they step up to the plate tomorrow, October 30th at 8pm ET.
Trump’s Shutdown: Our Healthcare Is On The Line · Working Families Power
This weekend, working families across this country are going to face the consequences of Donald Trump’s healthcare cuts and refusal to fund the government. Open enrollment in the healthcare marketplace starts on November 1st and millions of Americans will see huge increases in their premiums because Trump and Congressional Republicans are refusing to extend premium tax credits for people who use the ACA. As a result, an estimated 22 million people will see their healthcare premiums double and 4.2 million will lose healthcare because they can no longer afford it. At the same time, more than 40 million people will be unable to afford food when SNAP benefits are halted because of the government shutdown. Join our mass call this Thursday (10/30) at 8 PM EST/5 PM PST for an update on the shutdown situation and the campaign to protect our healthcare, and to discuss how we can organize collectively to support and protect our care.Hosted by: Working Families Power, Americans for Tax Fairness, Be A Hero, Economic Security Project Action, Indivisible, MoveOn, People's Action, Popular Democracy in Action, Public Citizen, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and 50501
