Since 1982, we've combined advocacy, organizing, & policy work while providing free direct services in our fight for social, racial, & economic justice in NJ.

Had a great Roundtable last night in Eatontown with advocates & CD4 residents. We dug into the growing healthcare & food security crisis caused by federal cuts, and how to mobilize our communities to share their stories and push state lawmakers to step up for their constituents.

At our press conference, BIPOC childcare providers & parents shared why affordable, accessible childcare is essential. With a $30M shortfall leaving families without support, NJ must urgently invest in childcare. Thank you @SenMTeresaRuiz, @AsmAngelaMcK & @SenBTimberlake for fighting to fix this.

Lawmakers could have addressed this issue a long time ago but chose to overlook it. We'd have preferred there to be no lawsuits, but this practice of auto insurance rates being tied to insurers' education and occupation is blatantly discriminatory and needs to change.

The threats reported this morning in several counties are a clear attempt to undermine our democratic system and intimidate New Jerseyans from going to the polls to exercise their right to vote. Let me be clear: there is no credible threat to New Jerseyans' safety at the polls.
