This “peace deal” isn’t peace — it’s a pause built on loopholes. Vague terms, weak enforcement, and ego-driven politics mean Israel can claim “breach” anytime and strike again. Real peace needs accountability and Palestinian voices, not photo ops and self-congratulatory press conferences.

Five years ago, George Floyd’s death moved the world to act. But for many Black Americans, the fear and frustration were already personal.

Heard someone say “the Civil War wasn’t about slavery” or that Confederate monuments are about history, not hate?

We’ve heard it all before—and we’ve got receipts.

New in PN: Despite the hype, DOGE hasn't found a shred of fraud

"With nothing to show for its efforts to find actual fraud, it has become clear that DOGE is the enforcement arm of a Trump administration that has no interest in working with Congress to implement its policy priorities."

Just think about this: The United States is siding with Russia. In the single greatest attack on freedom, democracy, and sovereignty in Europe since WW II, the United States of America is opposing freedom/democracy, and is actually siding with the invader/dictator.

Shameful.

I had to say goodbye to this boy 8 years ago today. He was love and joy in physical form and I will never not miss him. Being paralyzed didn’t slow him down at all. Jack, I am so lucky I got to be your mom. Love ya always and forever.

This is just disturbing.

I personally will continue to use "Gulf of Mexico" because our president is a wrathful felonious nincompoop with the intellect of paramecium and I do not consent to his cartographic buffoonery
Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons:

-We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S.

-The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.

“Ironically for an administration purportedly focused on cost-cutting, the renaming process is a pricey undertaking, especially at one of the world's largest military installations by population. Officials said in 2023 that the Fort Liberty renaming would ultimately cost around $8 million.”

A U.S. Army base originally named after a Confederate general, then renamed Fort Liberty, will revert to the name Fort Bragg. Its new namesake is WWII hero Roland Bragg — unbeknownst to his family.
