World War I, 1911-1916 A dispute on who controls the Moroccan city of Agadir resulted in a full-scale war between Europe's powers. The Central Powers (Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Italy) managed to defeat the Entente (Britain, France, Spain, and Russia, with the Ottomans later joining in thanks to British meddling). The war was known for its brutal trench warfare and use of chemical weapons and tanks. World War II, 1938-1942 The increasingly unpopular Mitteleuropa (led by the former Central Powers) was defeated by an unholy alliance between the nationalist powers of Britain, France, and Japan and the socialists in Spain and Russia, with the socialists doing the vast majority of the fighting. The war saw the large-scale use of espionage and the bombardment of cities. World War III, 1943-1946 The peace between the nationalists and socialists did not last a single year, with the Western nationalists, along with their Turkish allies, utterly devastating the socialists during the three-month offensives, which destroyed Spain and pushed Russia out of the lands they conquered from Mitteleuropa. The nationalist French regime (seeing itself as the perfect fusion between the Romans and Germanics) committed large-scale genocide in conquered territory, while the British and Japanese Empires brutally put down rebellions in their overseas. World War IV, 1952-1957 The US was drawn into a war against Japan over a dispute in the Philippines, leading to a massive campaign across the pacific ocean. Meanwhile, several British and French colonies rose up in revolt (most notably India and Indonesia), with the US taking the time to aid them and go after nearby territories in the Caribbean and Canada. The war ended in a stalemate, with the Japanese unconditionally surrendering after the Americans used nuclear bombs for the first time on them, and the British and French (now known as the State of Paneuropa) agreed to put an end to the war or face a fate similar to Japan.
