17 years since the 2008 war in Samachablo (Tskhinvali region).
In just 5 days:
– 850 people were killed
– 1,750 injured
– 192,000 displaced
– 7 villages destroyed

And still, 20% of Georgia remains under Russian occupation.

Russia’s problem with Georgia was never just geopolitics — it was democracy. A free, pro-Western Georgia challenges everything they stand for. That’s why they’ll do anything to stop it.

🚨 2/ US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on GD:

"The goal of the US are for international interests... Is it in our national interest to have an anti-American gov't governing an important part of the world? If not, we'll take appropriate actions to impose costs on that gov't."

Big news from DC: the U.S. House just passed the MEGOBARI Act — a strong message of solidarity with the people of Georgia.

This isn’t just policy—it’s about standing up for democracy, freedom, and long-standing friendship.

Grateful to everyone in Congress who sees what’s at stake and chose to act.

🇬🇪 Tomorrow will mark the Georgian people's 150th consecutive day of peaceful demonstrations.

Bipartisan members of Congress are proud to stand with the Georgian people as they refuse to surrender their democratic aspirations to an illegitimate regime.

April 9, 1989—one of the darkest days in Georgia’s history. Peaceful protesters demanding freedom were crushed by Soviet troops. Dozens were killed, hundreds injured. 36 years later, we’re still fighting the same fight—for a free, independent Georgia. Long Live Free Georgia 🇬🇪
