Oh no. Mass shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney. After the shooting at Brown University, I’d seen several social media personalities congratulating Australia on not being like the USA since the port Arthur tragedy. They spoke too soon.

I’ve always loved and supported the BBC, I thought if both “wings” were accusing you of bias, you must be doing ok. It’s one of the things I missed about having to move back to Australia.

This is my second event of the week. I'll be at the Byres Rd Book Festival with my friend and collaborator, Aisling Walsh. This one is sold out too but there's a waiting list you can join. Eventbrite events often sell out then folk don't always turn up on the night, so it's definitely worth doing

I FINALLY have a permanent part-time job! No more infrequent casual stuff! I can get some routine back in my life other than the gym!

I’m an immigrant to Australia from Aotearoa and an Australian citizen . So are or were my family. We came here to work hard, build a life, contribute to society. We’re lucky we’re white English speakers. I feel so sad for all the other immigrants today. I’m ashamed of the xenophobia and racism today
