Not everyone will be satisfied but it's arguably a good sign if Everton only sign one forward this window rather than panic buy as we have in the past. Beto can lead the line for a few weeks. Who knows, it might make him.

You can't overly criticise a guy who has been at Everton through the chaos and misery of the last 7 or 8 years. He must be mentally exhausted. If we've seen the last of him (and history suggests he won't be quickly back) it's a shame, but it gives us an opportunity to change our style of play
DCL's gamble, in not signing a new Everton deal last summer, was that he'd impress enough to have his pick of options come the end of the season
So this latest injury setback comes at just the wrong time for him. What comes next for him is unclear
