I’ve observed plenty of dialogues intended to resolve deep-seated disputes over wildlife, and only rarely have I seen them produce anything but frustration. The National Wolf Conversation was different.

Went for a bike ride on the Potomac River & saw 3 pairs of nesting peregrine falcons & they asked me to spread the word that as soon as their chicks fledge, they will sharpen their beaks & talons, fly to DC & gouge out the eyes of anybody who says wildlife conservation is wasteful
