Love this photo taken yesterday at Kentwell Hall's Victorian Christmas event by Sue Longhurst!

Myself, Emma Mordue and Terry Mann had a lot of fun, and it made a change from drumming... 😄

Today's topic at work at Ancient House Museum was the experience of British soldiers fighting on the Western Front over the Christmas season.

It was good to show my Princess Mary Christmas Fund tin to visitors again!

A good day!

I've finally finished restoring my, rather battered, 1925 pattern, British army Wolseley Helmet!

It took over a year before I plucked up the courage to fit the pagri/puggarree onto it!

We all had a great time today working at Ancient House Museum with local Yr6 children on the topic of WW1 on the Western Front and at home.

Lovely to be presenting this topic again as it's a particular favourite of mine!

It was great to work with Lynn Museum's Home Educators group on the topic of the Great Fire of London, 1666, today!

The army helped to stop the fire.

Here are some images from a film I helped to make for Norwich University of the Arts.

The story was about an Anglo-Saxon soldier leaving his peaceful village, only to return some time later to find it ablaze.

I bought a fabulous late medieval/early Tudor breastplate from the talented Backyard Tudors at the Artisans and Reenactors Market today!

They have some excellent large and small pieces for sale: highly recommended! 🙂
